For thirty-five years, SYSO has brought meaningful, quality musical experiences to its members. For the last two years 30 south/southwest suburban students have been part of our newest program, the Incredible Opportunity Program. Students were selected through an essay contest to receive low cost group violin instruction and orchestral experience.
2011-2012 will be an exciting season for the orchestra! There will be 2 different programs for students:
- The Incredible Opportunity program will again be offered to 20 students who wish to play a string instrument.
- Beginning string orchestra open to students with at least 6 months of playing experience for 3rd grade through High School.
