Our Mission

The Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to providing opportunities for musically promising children and teens: advancing their education and skill level with weekly rehearsals, concert performances, and master classes taught by visiting professionals. Under the direction of local leaders in music performance and education, we strive to develop character in these young people: promoting teamwork, self-discipline, professionalism, and responsibility. We are committed to enriching the quality of life for families in our community through fomal concerts, local appearances, and outreach events. We embrace the goal of passing the legacy of orchestral and chamber music to a new generation, ensuring a vibrant cultural resource in our community for many years to come.
